Hollywood films aren’t typically lauded for their realism, especially the ever-popular heist movies that usually include some deus ex machinas to help the characters out. In the box-office-hit “Ocean’s 8,” Sandra Bullock leads a group of female criminal-experts, including Mindy Kaling and Rihanna, to rob the Met Ball — a multi-million dollar fashion gala held annually at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The film presents a series of hacking scenes by a hacking expert i.e. Rihanna. Security research and expert hacker Samy Kamkar has broken down these scenes for accuracy and context, providing surprisingly-applicable information on digital footprints, wireless connections, buffer overflows and more to viewers.
