TaTaTu is Giving Away $50 Million in Tokens

Blockchain social entertainment platform TaTaTu, founded by Italian flim producer Andrea Iervolino, is giving away /TTU tokens worth $50 million USD to the first two million users on its new platform.

According to a press release Monday, the promotion is taking place during the public beta of the platform, which began on July 1. New adopters and the 200,000 plus users currently registered will receive 50 /TTU tokens, currently valued at approximately $25 USD.

In order to join the beta, new users can register at the company’s website and tokens can be used from October 2018, once over 200 /TTU has been accumulated through social participation on the platform. Then they will be transferred to the user´s Ethereum wallet.

TaTaTu combines features from VOD platforms and social networks with an incentive system. Advertisers purchase /TTU tokens, which are distributed to users through a rewards system, and tokens are given to creators and consumers of content. The company said users can invite their friends to join TaTaTu and watch and create videos to share with other members.

Among TaTaTu’ s original, exclusive content is a documentary on the music of Oscar nominee actor Jeremy Renner, in the 3D CGI-animated family film “Arctic Justice”. A documentary, Thunder Squad, will be released on the platform in tandem with the theatrical release of the film this summer. The move into original productions follows TaTaTu’s first major motion picture –- the upcoming Lamborghini biopic starring Antonio Banderas and Alec Baldwin — which is being co-financed and co-produced by the company, with Andrea Iervolino’s AMBI Media Group. TaTaTu said it will eventually offer music, sports, and games in addition to movies and videos.

“The initial interest for TaTaTu has been exceptional and we are continuing that momentum into our beta phase with the largest cryptocurrency giveaway in history,” said Iervolino. “TaTaTu will be a social platform whose value is shared by everyone that participates and will continue to grow as more and more people join.”

In June, TaTaTu closed a $575 million USD token pre-sale. The funds are being used to create original content, acquire new users, market the platform and develop the software, the company said.
