The Compliance Program Intern will assist with strategic compliance initiatives, working both internally, across the compliance organization and with Product teams, and externally, with bank partners, vendors, and other industry participants. The Compliance Program Internship aims to provide experience with AML compliance, trade surveillance, and market health through the lens of the cryptocurrency industry.  Responsibilities: Gain a holistic understanding of Coinbase’s Compliance program to support strategic initiatives in the areas of KYC, Travel Rule, Trade Surveillance, and Partnerships Assist with the management of financial partnerships through reporting and ad hoc inquiries Support the Trade Surveillance function through alert review and investigation Assist the Market Health team in asset launches, liquidity/depth reviews of order books, and market monitoring Research regional regulatory requirements to determine applicability to Coinbase Management and executive level reporting and materials Requirements: Pursuing a BS/BA degree in the following disciplines: Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Accounting, Law, or related field of study Excellent external and internal communication skills  Strong analytical & critical reasoning skills Thrives in fast-paced environments and learns quickly Embodies Coinbase values and excited about the mission Nice to haves: Strong interest and working knowledge of cryptocurrencies Understanding of BSA/AML/CTF rules and regulations Basic understanding of general trading/market dynamics What to Send: Resume and LinkedIn profile Coinbase is committed to diversity in its workforce and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and to review all of our job postings to minimize biased language.
