The former minister of Poland and the contender presumptive nominee for the presidential elections in Poland, Sławomir Mentzen, has declared his intention to promote the idea of the national crypto reserve and predictable legislation for the cryptocurrency business in case of his victory in the 2025 elections.
On Nov. 17th, Mentzen restated his interest in the earlier proposal along with his response to Lech Wilczynski, the CEO of Swap. Yl suggested Poland should navigate to the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve of the Satoshi Action Fund.
Poland’s Bitcoin Reserve Proposal and Cryptocurrency Hub Vision
Wilczynski’s proposal was to set a national Bitcoin reserve, which he noted should be carried out without any further discussion. By analyzing various funds, one has to understand that the Satoshi Action Fund presents an open source that can be used as the foundation for Poland to begin establishing a reserve around Bitcoin and extending the use of cryptocurrency around the country.
For his part, Mentzen expressed similar sentiments, saying that he would support the initiative, saying, “Of course.” He went further on to expound his vision to turn Poland into a hub of ‘cryptocurrency,’ asserting that he would endeavor to design favorable regulations, remitting lower taxes, and partner with the 라이브please amend the following sentences for better understanding:
He also elaborated on his plan to turn Poland into a hub for cryptocurrency, adding that the country would implement regulatory measures, offer more karat and lower taxes, and support banks together with regulators. “BTC to the Moon,” he added, stating that he is confident in Bitcoin’s place in the financial industry of the future.
Mentzen, who also attempted for the post of mayor in the Toruń city in 2018, recalled his suggestion in the same campaign. He had said that offices and school buildings could be used for mining bitcoins while using the radiations produced as heaters. Bitcoin was $ 7,000 then, and his idea was rejected as absurd and nonfeasible. Nonetheless, when Bitcoin was propelled to $ 100,000, Mentzen said his forecast was accurate and progressive.
Continuing his campaign for pro-crypto Poland, Mentzen has recently shifted his focus towards spreading the thought on the necessity of introducing digital currency to Poland as one of the new types of currency reserves. He said that to some people, it will take a lot of thinking to realize that though the notion may sound crazy now, it may be a rational move in the future.
“I think that finally, it is about time for Polish politicians to start focusing on the future as well and not just keep working on history,” Mentzer said, calling Poles to come up from their examples and become a reference point.
The thoughts of Mentzen resemble those of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, who, in a speech during the July 2020 campaign, pledged to build a Bitcoin reserve in America. This was succeeded by an idea that Senator Cynthia Lummis suggested that within five years, the U.S. government should own one million Bitcoins.
Observers have said that if the U.S. proceeds with the plan of accumulating the BTC, it will be followed by a “BTC arms race” worldwide. Celebrities such as Michael Saylor have suggested that the adoption of Bitcoin in such a manner will skyrocket demand for this cryptocurrency, further causing its value to skyrocket.
Given that Poland is on the path to the 2025 presidential election, Mentzen’s idea may place him as the world’s first to adopt Bitcoin among nations.
Why are you lying, he’s is not any minister of finances wtf?!?
