Tron Aims To Restore Low-Cost USDT Transfers

Through the USDT stablecoin Tether verifies that Tron blockchain users can now process transactions without paying fees. Through his Feb. 25 X update Sun informed Tron users about Gas Free launching within a week to enable USDT transfers without TRX gas charges.

Sun wants Tron to offer gas-free services so development teams and wallet providers should contact JustLend DAO for assistance. Our project works to lower the price and make it easier to do stablecoin deals on our system.

Customers used Tron to move USDT more affordably than on the Ethereum ERC-20 USDT network until recent per-transaction price hikes. USDT transfers have exploded in cost during recent times to become the most expensive network for these transactions.

Tron Users Face High Costs

USDT transactions on TRC-20 require costs that vary from $3.20 to $6.50 per transaction based on information from Tether’s GasFeesNow page and exceed fees charged by other blockchain platforms. In contrast, ERC-20 USDT transfers on Ethereum cost approximately $0.40 per transaction. Users find it difficult to predict Tron gas fees because wallets need ongoing “energy” and “bandwidth” maintenance to perform network transactions.

People who need to use TRC-20 on the Tron network without knowing about its payment system often pay too much when their wallet does not have enough network resources. People using the GasFeesNow platform from Tether face rising costs that make them unhappy. The statistics from Tether indicate that TRC-20 USDT gas fees jumped at the end of 2024 hitting $9.09 per transaction on December 9

People who once used Tron for its low prices expressed dissatisfaction when fees grew substantially. Users discovered that Tron had given up being the cheapest platform for stablecoin transfers.

Since July 2024 the Tron Foundation has worked on building tools for free TRC-20 transactions. Sun wanted to launch the new tools for stablecoin adoption during 2024’s fourth quarter but revealed this plan from the beginning.

According to Sun, operating expenses must decrease to make stablecoins usable for big businesses which will lead to wider blockchain adoption. The feature removes TRX dependance from USDT transfers to bring back Tron’s standing as a top stablecoin transfer service.

Tron tries to rebuild market leadership in stablecoin transfers through its introduction of free USDT transfers. People will need to test the system to determine if users return and new users begin using Tron.
