Six Trump Cabinet Members Hold Bitcoin Investments Worth Millions

Recently released financial reports show that at least six former Donald Trump Cabinet members declared their millions worth of Bitcoin investments. The published records from December 2024 and January 2025 show that government leaders now increasingly invest in cryptocurrencies.

The financial records show these officials store Bitcoin both as standard crypto wallets and as investment tools like crypto-backed ETFs. The news breaks through as Trump pushes for U.S. influence in the crypto market though he wants to turn America into a top Bitcoin nation.

Kennedy Jr.’s Major Bitcoin Investment

Through his Bitcoin Fidelity crypto account Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. proves himself one of the biggest cabinet members by investing between 1 million and 5 million dollars. Director Russell Vought of the Office of Management and Budget revealed his Bitcoin investments from his Coinbase wallet which total between $1,001 and $15,000.

According to Vought he plans to sell his Bitcoin investments because of potential conflicts of interest. Scott Bessent as Treasury Secretary bought shares of the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF valued at $250,001 to $500,000. Under his ethics agreement he plans to dispose of his investments before becoming Treasury Secretary officially.

The Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard holds both Bitcoin investments totaling between $15,001 and $50,000 including one fund stake and direct Bitcoin units. Gabbard has promised to resign from every Bitcoin investment. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy reported both Bitcoin investment types to authorities.

The secretary maintains several Bitcoin investments such as a major fund worth $250,000 to $500,000 and another Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund valued at $50,001 to $100,000 along with a wallet containing $250,001 in Bitcoin from Gemini. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth showed Bitcoin investments worth between $15,001 and $50,000 in December 2024 records.

As AI and crypto administrator David Sacks started his government role he disclosed that he sold all his cryptocurrency holdings before taking office. He stored Bitcoin along with Ethereum and Solana coins in his portfolio. Sacks shared his disclosure results after completing an ethics review but did not cite his entire asset value before selling.

Bitcoin continues to grow at 1% daily and its current market price stands at $83,332. Bitcoin lost 9% or more during the previous week. Official acceptance of digital assets by government members leads to changes in crypto industry regulation that the United States will need to establish.
