Michael Saylor has given another signal pointing to a new Bitcoin purchase by Strategy. The move comes after a quiet weekend for Bitcoin, and many are watching for fresh institutional activity. Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, holds the largest corporate Bitcoin portfolio.
Strategy Bitcoin Tracker Signals a New Buy
On June 5, Michael Saylor posted the Strategy Bitcoin Portfolio Tracker on X (formerly Twitter). This marks the eighth week in a row he has shared the tracker before an official purchase announcement. The tracker shows that Strategy holds 580,955 BTC, worth $61.44 billion at current prices.

Saylor captioned the post, “Send more Orange,” a phrase he has used in past weeks before confirming new buys. Although Strategy has not officially confirmed the purchase, previous tracker posts were soon followed by official updates. Last week, the firm bought 705 BTC for $75 million. This was less than its 4,020 BTC purchase the week before.
Strategy is getting closer to owning 600,000 BTC. While it is unknown if the company will make a single large purchase, the tracker post suggests another buy is likely. Saylor has also issued a preferred stock offering to raise funds, possibly for more BTC buys.
Bitcoin and MSTR Show Positive Price Movement
Both Bitcoin and Strategy’s stock (MSTR) have moved upward over the past year. The Strategy Bitcoin purchases have helped support BTC price action, especially during slow trading periods. The current Bitcoin price is $105,696, down 5.5% from its all-time high of $111,970.
MSTR has climbed 126% over the last 12 months. Saylor has compared its growth to major tech stocks. According to his posts, MSTR has outpaced the annual returns of Tesla (TSLA), Microsoft (MSFT), and Apple (AAPL).
The connection between Bitcoin and MSTR continues to grow. Strategy’s treasury-focused Bitcoin strategy has also drawn attention from traditional investors and funds. The company’s consistent buying pattern has influenced market sentiment.
Institutional Interest in Bitcoin Expands
Strategy is not the only firm adding Bitcoin to its holdings. In the last week, 16 new companies reportedly added BTC to their balance sheets. This marks a rise in corporate adoption of Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset.
What a WEEK for #Bitcoin Treasury Strategy announcements! 🔥
From June 2 to June 6 alone – 42 updates 🤯
– 16 new treasuries (5 already started with 97.74 BTC, 11 plan to purchase)
– 16 companies added bitcoin, totaling 4,456 BTC
– 11 companies announced future purchases worth… pic.twitter.com/ZYhVnFI6GW— NLNico (@btcNLNico) June 6, 2025
Saylor’s public strategy has become a model for some of these companies. He continues to advocate for Bitcoin’s long-term value and treats it as a strategic corporate asset. The consistent BTC purchases by Strategy have played a role in setting this trend.
Institutional demand remains high, and any new buy from Strategy is likely to affect prices. If the company moves closer to or crosses 600,000 BTC, it would further cement its role in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Funding and Future Strategy Plans
To support future Bitcoin purchases, Strategy has launched a new preferred stock offering. The capital raised from this offering is expected to go toward expanding the firm’s Bitcoin reserves. Previous offerings have supported large buys, including the most recent ones.
The firm has not released a specific timeline or amount for its next buy. However, based on past patterns, an announcement may come soon. Saylor’s tracker posts have served as early signals in previous weeks.
Strategy’s Bitcoin holding is already the largest of any public company. Its ongoing activity and financial strategies indicate a continued commitment to Bitcoin accumulation. Investors and analysts are monitoring the company’s next steps closely.
Bitcoin’s current price and market movements suggest continued interest from both retail and institutional buyers. As Strategy prepares for its next move, the market remains alert for official updates.
