Blockstack Teams Up With Chainlink to Use Algorand-supported Clarity Smart Contract Language

Chainlink and Blockstack have announced they are integrating Chainlink’s popular oracle technology with Blockstack’s Algorand-supported Clarity smart contract language. Blockstack developers will soon be able to write Clarity smart contracts with validated data from Chainlink.

Muneeb Ali, Co-Founder of Blockstack, said:

“Stacks 2.0 is a unique layer-1 blockchain that has a native bridge to Bitcoin. Clarity smart contracts give new powers to our developers. High-quality data feeds from Oracles are an important building block for Clarity contract developers. Given our familiarity with and knowledge of Chainlink’s impressive team and technology, we are confident that this collaboration and resulting Chainlink oracles will advance our shared ecosystem.”

“We are excited to collaborate with Blockstack and Stacks 2.0 to empower the most advanced apps, assets, and contracts possible, including providing high-quality data feeds to the 500+ teams building in its ecosystem. Having conducted the first-ever SEC-qualified offering of a digital token in 2019, Blockstack is a true leader in driving the legitimacy and maturity of our industry forward,” stated Daniel Kochis, Head of Chainlink Business Development.

Clarity was designed to be more secure, predictable, and reliable and when combined with Chainlink’s technology, Clarity will release a plethora of new use cases and experiences. The integration will integrate Chainlink’s Price Feeds in the beginning, but will evolve into a generalized oracle solution for Blockstack.

The two companies plan on co-hosting upcoming industry events and hackathons, as well as creating more developer-centric content to accelerate development and adoption looking to extend more benefits, capabilities, and opportunities to their users and communities.

Blockstack PBC is hosting the Redefine Summit on October 16th, 2020, which will showcase both organisations. commitment to maturing the industry at large by setting the stage for thought leaders and project leaders to discuss the past, present, and future of Bitcoin, and the emerging DeFi landscape.
